Happy All Hallow's Eve!
Not big on the whole "not celebrating Halloween because it's a day of the devil." Yes, it started out as a pagan holiday (first Celtic then Roman) before it was adapted by the Christians... but pagans don't believe in the devil so how can it be his holiday?
I like the idea of a night where the line between the living and dead is blurred. Not that I really believe that it happens... but it causes one to pause and reflect on the people who have gone to where ever before them.
PS: On Nov. 2, don't forget to go to your local Ecuadorian bakery to celebrate Ecuadorian Day of the Ancestors. Get some yummy guaguas de pan (bread babies) and colada morada (blackberry oatmeal drink).
